What day is National Boyfriend Day celebrated? October 3
What is National Boyfriend Day? National Boyfriend Day is a day for romantic girlfriends to celebrate your boyfriend. It’s time to make your boyfriend feel, valued, special and loved.
What is the reason this day was created? Because National Girlfriend Day (celebrated August 1) became so popular, it was only natural that there should be a national day for boyfriends. Although National Girlfriend Day was initially designed to celebrate the bond between gal pals and not dating relationships, it has evolved into double meanings to include celebrating dating relationships. But National Boyfriend Day appears to primarily center around dating relationships. But there is no reason that guy friends cannot have it both ways too.
How to celebrate: Do something nice for your boyfriend. Ideas include taking him on a date, whether it is a dinner or movie. You might even take him golfing or fishing, or whatever is his favorite hobby. You might even let him run the remote control for watching TV.
As to guy friends, take advantage of this day to strengthen your friendship with other men. It really is okay for men to have guy friends and let them know you care and that they are important in your life, so pick up the phone and call or text your men best friends.
What is the hashtag? The hashtag for National Boyfriend Day is #NationalBoyfriendDay or #boyfriend.
What other national days are there for boyfriends? Several other national days have sprung up to celebrate boyfriends, including:
