World Women's Wellness Day

When is World Women’s Wellness Day? This day will take place the last Friday of each April.

What is World Women’s Wellness Day? Wellness is defined at the ultimate guide to Health and Happiness. Diversity Woman Media will host a Women’s Wellness and Self Care virtual conference, April 29-30, 2021, FREE of charge to women of all the world. We would like to announce the Last Friday of Every April to officially become “World Women’s Wellness Day.” 2020-2021 will no doubt go down in history as one of the most challenging years in our lifetime especially for women juggling everything from their career to parenting to self-care and beyond, all directly impacting women’s wellness. We currently have been hosting Wellness Wednesday’s since January through March on topics from managing stress, to wellness, self care, sleep, nutrition and mindfulness health. Our audience dials in from all over the world, every race, culture and background, single or married seeking one hour of hope for their wavering resilience.

Why is this day being celebrated or observed? We want to help transform the lives of women to be healthy, happier, fulfilling, and full of solutions to help them achieve greater success personally, with their children and partners, and in their work life. This day is being created with the mission in mind, that the only thing standing between where a woman is today and self-love is her wellness. Through wellness she can become healthier, happier and more productive. Our metaphor is “put your mask on first,” which is what flight attendants tell us about the importance of not putting others mask on first, even their children. We as women don’t put our mask on first. We put it on last and that is why our health, happiness and even wealth is negatively impacted. We want to educate, inform and transform women into putting their mask on first, taking care of their needs first so that they will be better mothers, wives, partners, employees and people.

How should this day be celebrated or observed? Women should make sure they have taken their annual physicals or be reminded to have them scheduled, and have addressed their mental health through therapy, reading, and association with others. Take the weekend to de-stress via spa treatments, mindfulness and meditation. Focus on hydration, sleep and spirituality.

Who created this day? This day was created in February 2021 by Diversity Woman Media.
