On what day is World Psoriasis Day celebrated? October 29

What is World Psoriasis Day? This day is dedicated to those dealing with Psoriasis or Psoriatic Arthritis. Psoriasis is a skin condition that speeds up the life cycle of skin cells and causes dry, scaly rashes as a result. Currently, 125 million people worldwide are affected by Psoriasis. World Psoriasis Day serves as a time to rally around this community of people, support them and make their voices heard. It’s also a day to advocate for easier access to affordable treatment around the globe.

Who founded this day?  This day was created by International Federation of Psoriasis Associations (IFPA).  

What is the hashtag? Use the hashtag #WorldPsoriasisDay when sharing on social media.

How to celebrate:  Here are a few ideas to help this cause:

  • Start a fundraiser like a pancake breakfast or 5k race and donate the proceeds to the National Psoriasis Foundation.  
  • Lobby for your local community to have an affordable treatment center.
  • Educate yourself about this condition.
