Let’s link hands and hearts on May 8th to celebrate World Ovarian Cancer Day. It is important to increases global awareness of this form of cancer. This world day helps unite and network those facing or surviving ovarian cancer, plus their families. Teal is the color used to promote ovarian cancer awareness.
Note: There are over a quarter of a million cases of ovarian cancer across the world. Ovarian cancer is one of the top ten forms of cancer worldwide and cause of death for women.
How to decrease your risks
Women can take steps to reduce their risk of ovarian cancer. By exercising 30 minutes a day reduces the risk of ovarian cancer by 20 percent. A well-balanced diet, including foods that are high in Vitamin D and A, also helps.

- Get educated about the symptoms of ovarian cancer
- Start exercising and planning a healthy lifestyle
- Donate to cancer research and in particular ovarian cancer research.
