When is World Health Day?

World Health Day occurs on April 6th.

What is World Health Day?

Medicine has come a long way from the rampant leeching and bloodletting of yesteryear. Not everybody has access to modern medical practices though. World Health Day promotes adequate health coverage across the globe.

It’s not just about taking our vitamins. World Health Day supports a comprehensive approach to health for all people. Every year, the World Health Organization raises awareness about a current global health issue, from vaccines and clean water to road safety and care for psychological disorders.

The Western world has reaped great benefits as medical advances race forward. The World Health Organization kicked off World Health Day as a reminder not to leave the less fortunate behind.
