When is this day celebrated? March 1
What is this day? National Welsh Corgi Day honors this adorable breed that was originally bred as herding dogs. Corgis have short little legs and cute fluffy bums, along with big personalities that draw people to them when out in public. Anywhere they go, corgis draw attention. We have even seen them marching in parades, much to the delight of the spectators. Corgis have become very popular in the pet trade and make wonderful family pets.
Corgis are friendly, playful and extremely loyal. They are energetic and curious and much loved by anyone who has ever had the pleasure of owning one. This day should be celebrated in a way that shows the love and respect due this loyal breed.
Who founded this day? This day was created by Connie Maue in 2019.
