National Wellbeing Day

When will National Wellbeing Day be celebrated? November 2nd of each calendar year.

What is National Wellbeing Day? National Wellbeing Day is a day to pause and take stock of the full picture of personal wellbeing, which includes the interconnections between finance, physical, mental, career, and community health. The observance encourages people to recognize that a stressful job, a health scare, or a disconnected community can shake financial stability just as much as a bank balance can, and that lasting wellbeing comes from addressing all of these areas together rather than in isolation. The day matters because it reminds everyone that true wellbeing is holistic, and it invites people to take one small, concrete step toward it.

How should National Wellbeing Day be celebrated or observed?

  • Educate: Learn something new about one of the five pillars of wellbeing — finance, physical, mental, career, or community — and how they connect.
  • Engage: Take one concrete step toward better wellbeing, such as reviewing a budget, scheduling a health screening, updating an estate plan, or reconnecting with a neighbor.
  • Share: Share trusted, judgment-free wellbeing resources with friends and family using the hashtag #WellbeingDay.
  • Support: Encourage organizations and communities to make helpful wellbeing resources more visible and accessible to the people who need them.

Why was National Wellbeing Day created? National Wellbeing Day grows out of the recognition that financial health cannot be separated from physical, mental, career, and community health. It extends the mission of bringing these five pillars of wellbeing together, offering a single day for everyone to recognize that true wellbeing is holistic and to act on it rather than just think about it. Its purpose is to help individuals and communities take meaningful steps toward lasting, well-rounded wellbeing.
