When will National Virginia Diverse Business Networking First Saturday Day be celebrated? The first Saturday of May, June, July, August and September of each calendar year.

What is this day? COME GET THE LOVE! People know Virginia as the “Lovers” State:  First Saturday is a monthly event held from May to September that showcases local women and diverse vendors, artists, musicians, craftmakers and more. We provide a platform where everyone can celebrate local culture and creativity in all its forms. 

Our endeavor to drive economic empowerment, creativity and positivity within our community is spearheaded by our love and desire to see our diverse communities thrive.

How to Participate at First Saturday. First Saturday, a program of the Southwest Virginia Diverse Regional Chamber of Commerce is a family-friendly community celebration that takes place monthly in various locations in the Southwest Virginia Region. Women and Diverse small businesses, vendors, food trucks, community organizations and non-profits are welcome to participate at First Saturday with a booth* at the May, June, July, August and September events.

Why was this day created? The Southwest Virginia Diverse Regional Chamber of Commerce Virginia Business Networking First Saturday works with community-minded organizations across the state of Virginia including schools, youth groups, senior centers, ethnic and faith-based organizations, and other non-profits. We celebrate diversity and engage people around one core central theme – ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & CREATIVITY!
