When is National Polyphenol Day? This day will take place on July 11 of each calendar year.

What is National Polyphenol Day? This day is a celebration of polyphenols, the micronutrients found in certain plants. They have natural energy boosters and can provide so many other health benefits. Examples of polyphenol-rich foods include extra-virgin olive oil, dark chocolate, and dark-colored fruits, such as pomegranates and chokeberries.

Why is this day being celebrated or observed? Based on Dr. Steven Gundry’s 20 years of research on how food affects health, the Gundry MD team believes that polyphenol-rich foods are essential to a healthy diet. Polyphenols can help support your heart health, energy levels, and even your mind. Polyphenols can also feed the good bacteria in your gut, which can help your body process more energy from food. We want to celebrate this day as an opportunity to educate the public on the health benefits that a diet with polyphenol-rich foods can have.

How should this day be celebrated or observed? We will launch a campaign designed around the education of polyphenols as well as many interactive celebrations and giveaways.

Who created this day? This day was created in May 2021 by Gundry MD.
