When is National Pet Carbon Monoxide (CO) Safety Day?

September 17th

What is National Pet Carbon Monoxide (CO) Safety Day?

Pet Carbon Monoxide (CO) Safety Day raises awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning and how it can affect our pets at home. The day is a reminder to practice important safety tips and learn about the dangers of carbon monoxide.

This day is being created to educate pet owners about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning for pets. This invisible gas, often called the “silent killer,” isn’t something that a lot of pet parents think about when welcoming a pet into their home.

Who created this day?

This day was founded by Kidde in 2020.

How to celebrate National Pet Carbon Monoxide (CO) Safety Day:

This day should be observed by learning about the dangers of carbon monoxide, including the symptoms and causes, as well as checking your home’s carbon monoxide alarms to ensure they are in working order and were manufactured in the last 10 years. If they are older than 10 years, they need to be replaced.
