When is National No Porn November Month? November is No Porn November Month

What is No Porn November Month? National No Porn November Month is a time to become both aware of and take a stand against the harmful impacts of pornography on our children and families.

Why is this month being celebrated? Here is the dark side of pornography: children are exposed to pornography as young as eight years old; pornography is fueling sex trafficking; divorce rates have doubled for those who watch porn; families are being split apart due to porn addiction.  (See statistics below.)

How should this month be celebrated or observed?

There are many things you can do, including joining the Protector Initiative, earning a Sexual Ethics Training Certificate, getting help if you struggle with porn, and talking to your kids about porn and sex.

First, become aware of the problem. Here are some porn statistics:

  • 97% of men have viewed porn and 37% watch porn several times a week
  • Seven in ten men (71%) between ages 24 to 30 view pornography several times a week, while 90% view porn at least monthly
  • Nearly one-half of boys (46%) and one in four girls (24%) watch porn before age 13
  • One in five men (18%) think they are or might be addicted to pornography
  • Over two-thirds of men (68%) and nearly half of women (46%) looked at porn while at work in the past 3 months

Second, join the Protector Initiative and stand for healthy marriages, beautiful childhoods, and a dignified humanity unspoiled by the harmful effects of pornography.

To be a Protector is to say: no more child abuse, no more sex trafficking, no more exploitation, and no more victims. For as little as $25/month you can join this movement. You can choose to protect and stand against those who would prey as predators on the most vulnerable. Join us to change the world and be a Protector with us!  Click here to learn more and join: https://www.provenmen.org/protectors/

Third, earn a Sexual Ethics Training Certificate.

This ten-day (20 hour) certified course prepares men and women to lead small groups helping others break free from the grip of porn and pursue sexual integrity. Click here to learn more: https://www.provenmen.org/certification/

Fourth, take the free purity quiz to assess your own life.

Needless to say, “purity” is a pretty complex topic. It is not limited to porn. How does one define sexual integrity? What does culture say about it? Honestly, there are many tough questions. Take the free purity quiz and spend some time reflecting on your results. Your results will be confidential. Click here: https://www.provenmen.org/free-purity-quiz/

Fifth, if you struggle, get the help you need to not only break free from porn and other forms of sexual addiction, but to radically change your life. Click here for help: https://www.provenmen.org/quit-porn/

Sixth, talk to your kids about porn and sex.

A revolutionary game-changing new resource TheSexTalk.com is a video course designed to equip parents to have these ongoing conversations with their kids about sex and pornography. TheSexTalk.com features 13 leading national experts that speak on issues of psychology, biology, public health, pornography, technology, theology, and more. It is the one resource every parent needs to protect their children. Click here to learn more: www.TheSexTalk.com

Seventh, encourage your church to join the movement.

Only 7% of Churches say they have a program in place to combat pornography. Tell your church about a ministry designed to help the church address the issue of porn within our culture. Here is a link to share with your church leader: https://www.provenmen.org/for-pastors/
