When will this Day be celebrated? October 12th of each calendar year.
What is National Monogram Day?
As a leader in monogrammed gifts, we’d like to create a holiday that celebrates a larger trend we’re seeing in the marketplace: an affinity for showing off your personal style or “brand” by marking it with a monogram. Monogramming has a rich history and is making a come back with monogrammed luggage, handbags, and even apparel. We have seen so many retailers start to offer personalization on products, which is clearly resonating with consumers.
How should this day be celebrated?
We would like to encourage people to show off their monograms in real life and virtually on social. We will share our tips on monogramming as well as etiquette. We want to show how marking something with a monogram is an extension of personal style and should be celebrated.
Why was this day created?
We would like to highlight the trend of monogramming with a day to celebrate and give people an opportunity to show off their personal style. We love that monogramming makes something feel extra special and personal, and makes it one of a kind. We want to create a larger dialog for people that love monogrammed items.
Who created this day? Mark & Graham (Williams-Sonoma, Inc.)
