What is National Keder Day?
National Keder Day will be a day to recognize the difference that quality keder can have on the tenting, temporary structure, marine and canvas, and the soft signage, banner and printing industries. Keder consists of two parts: a core and a fabric. The core is made from extruded PVC, or another elastic material, to allow flexibility. The core is then wrapped in Keder fabric, which has exposed fibers on the outside to allow the Keder to easily slide into an extrusion with a luff groove – keder track. It has coating on the inside to ensure proper adhesion during welding.

Why is this day being created?
Keder Solutions realized there was a need to create and celebrate National Keder Day. There is a need to create awareness and have conversations around a product and service that Keder Solutions can provide. This can be seen as fun, family-friendly, unique, and relevant to the world because there are so many solutions that keder is apart of. That wedding that you attended last weekend with the beautiful tent outside…keder was a part of that tent. The boat you get out every summer most likely uses our fabrics to keep it from being weathered. The Ryder Cup, Superbowl, and every other national event that you see a tent or temporary structure at uses our fabric and keder.
Keder Solutions saw a need to recognize the items that make so many events memorable. We support numerous industry associations, and we are continuously keeping up with the trends and innovations in this industry. In creating this holiday, we will continue to show the world the constant innovations in our company as well as in the industry.
