What is National National Hippy Day?
After recently finding a pair of my patch, hippy jeans, wearing them to a fabulous benefit for Worthless Studios and posting a pic of them on Instagram to such wonderful ‘reactions’ the thought of having a National Hippy Day came to me.
I hope that April 13th will become recognized as National Hippy Day when folks will remember about caring for Mother Earth, our climate crisis, sustainability, mindfulness and living an elevated compassionate lifestyle.
Why is this Day being created?
This Day was created to draw attention to and raise the awareness (again) of the messages of the Hippy movement of the 60’s for Peace, Love and Understanding, environmental concerns, the climate crisis and to live an elevated mindful and sustainable lifestyle. I also think that recognition of the day will bring about great joy and happiness to all those that will celebrate.
How should this Day be observed?
My ask is that people will celebrate by enjoying food that does not have food packaging waste. Wearing flowers in your hair, a hat, glasses, patched and or embroidered jeans, Love Beads all the while sharing the message of Peace, Love and Understanding with the friends they encounter that day.
