This is the day to break out your Christmas books and begin reading them with your children every day until Christmas. It’s the time to buy new Christmas books for your children to add to your collection. It’s a great time to buy Christmas books for others who may not have them so they, too, may enjoy Christmas books. It’s a time to gather as a family and slow down, during the crazy Christmas season and enjoy Christmas stories together. It’s a great time for adults to dive into Christmas novels, too, and enjoy being carried away in festive stories.

To encourage slowing down during the crazy Christmas season and bonding with loved ones around reading Christmas books. It’s a time to help your kids focus on the season with Christmas stories. It’s a time to help your kids give books to those who may not have any Christmas books. It’s a day to help bookstores kick off the Christmas season and authors of Christmas books to promote and sell their books.

This day should be celebrated by buying new Christmas books for your children or new books for yourself to read on your own. It should be observed by pulling out your collection of Christmas books and begin reading some every day through the Christmas season.
