Our children have major social and emotional economic and spiritual impact. As a child, they don’t usually get a paycheck for all the work you do, however you do not go unnoticed. As a token of our appreciation, for one day children will be celebrating and be celebrated by many events such as poetry readings art and crafts installations and creating possibilities.

Why was National Children Appreciation Day created? This day is being created to honor Mout’s family and his daughter. Mout lost his daughter two years ago in July. For the past two years I have wept inside for him and his family. NO MORE. Love prevails. I would like to celebrate children past, present, and future by lighting paper bag candles and heart shaped balloons. This is a day of celebration and healing. At 12am July 1st we will collectively embrace our children past, present, and future.
Who created this day? This day was created by Jacob Ringgold in 2026.
