When is National CanDo Day? This day will take place on January 4 of each calendar year.

What is National CanDo Day? It’s a New Year! And, while resolutions almost always stem from a place of sacrifice, CanDo’s mission is to focus on what you can do, not what you can’t. From the big things, like training for that marathon you’ve been thinking about for years, learning that language you’ve always wanted to be fluent in, or traveling to that place currently pictured on your desktop background, to the little things, like getting up 15 minutes before your alarm to have some peace and quiet before the day begins, making time to call your best friend for no reason other than just to check in, or trying out a new recipe, knowing it’s okay if it doesn’t come out perfectly the first time.

National CanDo Day is all about focusing on what you can do with the one life you’re given.

Why is this day being celebrated? The Co-Founder of CanDo and maker of Keto Krisp protein bars, Adam Bremen, has Cerebral Palsy and has used a wheelchair his entire life for mobility. Being confined to a wheelchair, Adam had to go above and beyond to find ways to live an active, healthy lifestyle, which is what transpired in 2017, when he found the Keto lifestyle.

After eating Keto, Adam had the energy to start water aerobics and lost nearly 50 lbs. For something to have such an immense impact on his life, he wanted to do the same for others and did so by launching Keto Krisp, in 2017, with the spirit of “CanDo.”

It is this very spirit that propels us forward, pushes us to seek better and do better. And it is this spirit that defines Adam and his team’s drive to make the best products they can to support our collective desired lives, health, and willpower.

How should this day be celebrated or observed? Today, we invite others to join the core tribe, whether Keto or not, and embody the CanDo spirit. To do, instead of dream. To decide to live the way they want. To know that a “decision” to do isn’t actually one easy decision, it’s many, many decisions over and over again. To get up and make the decision to be better again and again, to continue at it no matter what, taking awareness, courage, willpower, strength, an open mind, and attempts and willingness to push past failure.

It is for this reason that we named our tribe the CanDoers. Our tribe is brave, bold and determined.

Celebrate National CanDo Day on January 4th in honor of what you can do!

Who created this day? National CanDo Day was created in November 2020 by Adam Bremen of CanDo.
