Why is this day being celebrated or observed? This day is for Black America to be healed in body, soul and spirit, individually and collectively.
How should this day be celebrated or observed? Beginning at dawn and ending at sundown. A day of fasting, praying, repentance and atonement of sins. Abstinence from food, drink, sex, alcohol, drugs (unless prescription), limited to no use of electronics and limited to no work. Pregnant and nursing mothers, the ill, and small children are exempt. The fast is broken by thanksgiving and praise to God and a light meal.
