When is International Day of Yoga?

International Day of Yoga on June 21st.

What is International Day of Yoga?

Humans can still be sick when their body is healthy. Mental illnesses, even basic anxiety and depression, drain our energy and lower the quality of our lives. International Day of Yoga promotes yoga as a holistic method for improving human health.

Yoga connects the mind and the body by developing each at the same time. It helps the busy mind manage stress. As physical training, it improves flexibility and one’s sense of vitality. Yoga also works in tandem with many people’s faith, not as a religion on its own but as a vehicle for spiritual development.

The UN established International Day of Yoga in 2014 to promote physical activity and peace of mind. Both of those results fight against diseases like cancer and diabetes. And we could all use a bit more tranquility in our lives.
