What is Gotcha Day? Adoptive families have been commemorating the day they acquired their adopted children with an annual celebration for many years. We would like to create a National Day to help create awareness and community around the miracle that is adoption.
How should Gotcha Day be celebrated or observed? Sharing stories, pictures and testimonials about personal adoption experiences, for both the adoptive parents and their children.
Why was Gotcha Day created? We would like to create a National Day to help create awareness and community around the miracle that is adoption. Our son, Corofin, came to us via adoption and has been nothing short of a miracle for us and our extended family. We hope to create more awareness around and reduce the stigma that sometimes comes with even discussion adoption.
