When will Celebrate Collage Month be celebrated? October of each calendar year.
What is Celebrate Collage Month? Collage is a dynamic, wide-ranging, and inclusive art form. Celebrate Collage Month champions and celebrates all techniques and process – from paper-based such as Silhouettes to the genre-bending works of Sound Collage, from the recording of our lives through Witness Collage to the dimensional planes of Assemblage works, and from visual poetry such as Eponymistic Colletry to digital technologies for Complex Pictures.
The aim is seeking a deeper understanding and recognition of how Collage is an intrinsic part of our day-to-day lives, through everything from motion picture and animation films to music and poetry – this is why we want to celebrate the art form in all of its expressions and history, reaching far beyond but including paper and glue.

- Participate in meaningful, supportive, thought-provoking critiques and salons to better understand how others see and understand the artwork

Why was Celebrate Collage Month created? Celebrate Collage Month recognizes the global contributions and innovations across time and cultural practices, all of which impacts this art form through techniques and styles. By celebrating, we can come together to explore the wide-ranging aspects of our communities and manner of engaging with the world.
Celebrate Collage Month revels in the multitudes of artists – regardless of age, teachers, workshop creators, authors, curators, gallery owners, and others who love and support this art form. The international collage community is wildly creative and its is the aim of the celebratory month to showcase that depth and breadth of knowledge to allow for expanded conversations, events, making, research, and more.
