When will Black Heroes Day be celebrated? February 28th of each calendar year.

What is Black Heroes Day? National Black Heroes Day is a time for recognizing and honoring Black heroes from the past and present. It also celebrates the heroes that Black people create to empower their community, represent their culture and tell imaginative stories.
This holiday was created to remind all of us that Black heroes are all around us and they should be celebrated for their sacrifice, hard work and dedication.

How should Black Heroes Day be celebrated or observed? Share the name of a Black person that contributed to your life (or that of others) in a significant way. Also tell what they did/do.

Why was Black Heroes Day created? Sometimes we overlook the contributions of everyday people for those that have celebrity status or riches. This holiday was created to remind all of us that Black heroes are all around us and they should be celebrated for their sacrifice, hard work and dedication. It is equally important that we normalize “giving people their flowers” while they are alive and well, as it is to celebrate those that have passed away.

Who created this day? This day was created by Black Education Station in 2023.
