What is Adult Human Female Day? While March 8 is a celebration of so-called “woman-identifying” people, October 10 celebrates the reality of females and womanhood. On this day, we are going to affirm the reality and existence of adult human females in the midst of a troubling trend in which the identities of women are being appropriated and reduced to roleplay.
Why is this day being created? National Women’s Day already exists, but it doesn’t just celebrate adult human females, whom we believe are both amazing and essential. None of us would be who we are without them. In fact, we wouldn’t even exist.
But today, there is an effort to wipe adult human females – commonly known as “women” – from existence. Their identity is being treated like a costume that anyone can choose to wear, rather than a distinct reality that runs through every fiber in their being.
And costumes should be saved for Halloween.
There has never been a national day dedicated to adult human females, because the truth of womanhood has existed since the beginning of time. But with the co-opting of the term to include men, we think it’s time to affirm and assert the significance of two X chromosomes.
Adult Human Female Day will be a statement of fact. A celebration of truth. The final word on the existence of women that can never be taken back.
How should this day be observed? On October 10, we hope the public joins the celebration however they can, no matter how big or small their effort.
We hope to see everything from isolated acts of solidarity, to small celebratory parties, to painted end zones on NFL fields. We’d like celebrities to call attention to the day, for ordinary people to mention it in schools and workplaces, and a general positive and fun spirit to fill people from the moment they wake up.
