What day is National Signing Day celebrated? First Wednesday of February

What is National Signing Day? National Signing Day is the first day a high school senior can sign a binding National Letter of Intent for a college sport with a school that is a part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Although all NCAA sports have at least one of their own National Signing Day celebrated on other days, college football’s version of National Signing Day is by far the most popular and widely followed by fans and the media.

How to celebrate: Make National Signing Day an event like you would for the day national college rankings or playoff teams are announced. Plan a party. Read blogs and articles about college prospects. You might even turn it into a contest. Best of all, plan to enjoy great food and fellowship with your other sports enthusiasts.

What is the hashtag? The hashtag for National Signing Day is #SigningDay.

What other national days are there for sports? There are many other national days relating to sports. In fact, National Day Archives has a separate category just for sports. Browse it by using the category button on the top left of the webpage.
