National Living Donor Day is celebrated on April 11 and honors the brave people who stepped forward to donate a living organs and tissue to help heal those in need. It is similar but different from National Donor Day, celebrated on February 14. National Donor Day encourages people to donate organs after they pass away while National Living Donor Day encourages people to donate while they are alive, such as one kidney.

According to www.organdonor.gov, there are 100,000 people in the U.S. on transplant waiting lists. You can save a life by donating living organs or tissues now.
