What day is being celebrated? National Feds Give Back – Combined Federal Campaign Day
When will this day be celebrated? October 20th
Why is this day being created? To celebrate the generosity of our Federal workforce. Military, Postal, Civilian Federal employees and Federal retirees join together in support of countless worthy causes by giving back their time and treasures to thousands of vetted local, national, and international non-profits through their workplace giving program, the Combined Federal Campaign. As public service employees and members of our communities, it is important that we recognize the personal contributions they make beyond their work as public servants. In just 60 years Federal employees have raised over 8.4billion dollars for non-profits, providing resources and hope for our most vulnerable populations by bridging the gaps of need for our local, national and global communities.
