National Croatian Wine Day celebrates Croatia’s Independence Day on June 25th, the day where the Croatian Parliament declared its independence from the Republic of Yugoslavia in 1991. For such a young country, Croatia has a lot to offer. It has the world’s best beaches, the world’s best food, and the world’s best wine. National Croatian Wine Day highlights Croatia’s unique wine history dating back to 2,500 years. There are four wine regions in Croatia, producing wines exhibiting an array of styles from unique terroirs and from over 100 indigenous varietals, all of which are worthy of our attention.
