When is International Tiger Day? July 29th marks the tiger awareness initiative known as International Tiger Day.

What is International Tiger Day? There are few creatures as naturally majestic as the tiger. International Tiger Day acknowledges the beauty of this hunted and neglected cat and seeks to preserve them. International Tiger Day was created in 2010 as a means of creating global awareness, support and protection for the tiger species.

Fun facts about International Tiger Day! There are 13 tiger range countries and in 2010, when this day was created, every single one of those countries was being represented. During that time, a goal was set to double the global tiger population by 2022. International Tiger Day isn’t just about conservation but also proliferation.

How to celebrate International Tiger Day: If you happen to live in one of the 13 tiger range countries, get connected with this movement and show up to give your support. However, if you do not then get onto this site and see what other countries are doing on this incredible day! And of course, you’re able to give to this movement by sharing awareness and donating funds.
